What The Second Amendment Is Really For

Today we're going to talk about the Second Amendment: our right to own and carry guns. The past 2 decades (at least) have seen a steady erosion of these rights as anti-gun radicals have lobbied and campaigned for gun control. In this video, Texas State Representative Suzanna Gratia-Hupp, whose parents were killed by an insane gunman while her gun was out in the car, gives very moving and bold testimony about the REAL reason that the second amendment was designed to protect our God-given right to keep and bear arms.

Babies In The Military

This really opens a can of worms! The Stars And Stripes published an article about a new Army policy that went into effect Nov. 4 and applies to all those serving under Maj. Gen. Anthony Cucolo III, who commands Multi-National Division-North, including Balad, Kirkuk, Tikrit, Mosul and Samarra. Soldiers under his command can now face court-martial for either getting pregnant or for impregnating another soldier while on active duty. This policy also applies to married couples that are stationed in the same area. Both the husband and wife could face punishment under the policy. Punishment could include jail time.

Like Eugene Fidell said, who teaches military law at Yale Law School and is president of the National Institute of Military Justice, the policy is fraught with "legal, ethical and policy issues.”

I'm almost scared to pick this one apart. I understand very well why a commander would want such a policy, to prevent a soldier from leaving a void at a moment critical to the success of a mission. Army-wide rules require that a soldier that becomes pregnant in Iraq be removed from the war within 14 days. But it still doesn't seem right to prohibit a husband and wife from having a baby.

I've heard a couple of suggestions to solve the problem, such as not permitting females on the front lines in the first place, and to not allow a man and his wife to be stationed in the same area. The first solution, while not exactly keeping them from becoming pregnant, would help prevent an unexpected absence on the front lines. To keep a man and his wife apart when they could be together is bad simply because a husband and wife should be together when possible.

Perhaps the women should go back to being keepers at home. While I do NOT believe in the subjugation or suppression of women, they made the greatest mistake in the history of womankind (next to what Eve did in the garden of Eden) when they joined the general work force. They should've never entered politics or the pulpit, and never tried to take a man's place in the work force. It's contrary to the Word of God, and when you replace It with your own ideas you run into trouble.

Though all men are liars, God is still True!

Is Another Civil War Looming?

According to an obscure report in the European Union Times (EUTimes.net), "Russian Military Analysts are reporting to Prime Minister Putin that US President Barack Obama has issued an order to his Northern Command's (USNORTHCOM) top leader, US Air Force General Gene Renuart, to 'begin immediately' increasing his military forces to 1 million troops by January 30, 2010, in what these reports warn is an expected outbreak of civil war within the United States before the end of winter.

According to these reports, Obama has had over these past weeks 'numerous' meetings with his war council abut how best to manage the expected implosion of his Nation's banking system while at the same time attempting to keep the United States military hegemony over the World in what Russian Military Analysts state is a 'last ditch gambit' whose success is 'far from certain.'

The EU Times article continues by saying, "To the fears of Obama over the United States erupting into civil war once the full extent of the rape and pillaging of these peoples by their banks and government becomes known to them, grim evidence now shows the likelihood of this occurring much sooner than later."

The Times story goes on to say that there are "over 220 million American people armed to the teeth and ready to explode."

The Times article concludes by saying, "Though the coming civil war in the United States is being virtually ignored by their propaganda media, the same cannot be said of Russia, where leading Russian political analyst, Professor Igor Panarin has long warned that the economic turmoil in the United States has confirmed his long-held view that the US is heading for collapse."

Very interesting article. Here is a link to the rest of it. Read it in its entirety and become active in your state!

Oklahoma Goes Renegade

Oklahoma passed a law, 37 to 9 (had a few liberals in the mix), an amendment to place the Ten Commandments on the front entrance to the state capitol. The feds in D.C., along with the ACLU, said it would be a mistake. Hey this is a conservative state, based on Christian values...! HB 1330
Guess what.......... Oklahoma did it anyway.

Oklahoma recently passed a law in the state to incarcerate all illegal immigrants, and ship them back to where they came from unless they want to get a green card and become an American citizen. They all scattered. HB 1804. Hope they didn't get sent to your state. This was against the advice of the Federal Government, and the ACLU, they said it would be a mistake.
Guess what.......... Oklahoma did it anyway.

Recently they passed a law to include DNA samples from any and all illegals to the Oklahoma database, for criminal investigative purposes. Pelosi said it was unconstitutional. SB 1102
Guess what........ Oklahoma did it anyway.

Several weeks ago, they passed a law declaring Oklahoma as a Sovereign state, not under the Federal Government directives. Joining Texas, Montana and Utah as the only states to do so. More states are likely to follow: Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, the Carolinas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, West Virginia, Mississippi, Florida. Save your confederate money, it appears the South is about to rise up once again. HJR 1003

The federal Government has made bold steps to take away our guns. Oklahoma, a week ago, passed a law confirming people in this state have the right to bear arms and transport them in their vehicles. I'm sure that was a set back for the criminals (and Obamites). Liberals didn't like it -- But ...
Guess what........... Oklahoma did it anyway.

Also, this same state has voted and passed a law that ALL driver's license exams will be printed in English, and only English, and no other language. They have been called racist for doing this, but the fact is that ALL of the road signs are in English only. If you want to drive in Oklahoma , you must read and write English.

Really simple.

By the way, Obama does not like any of this.
Guess what....who cares... Oklahoma is doing it anyway.

Information for this article comes from NewsOK, the online version of "The Oklahoman," and USA Today.

Okay, so how do I really feel about all this? I admit, I have mixed feelings about some of the laws that are mentioned. But I'm open to discussion about whether they are good or bad. Does anybody out there have any experience either way? I know a lot of people object to the idea of having a monument of the Ten Commandments on government property, citing the possibility that Muslims or other religions may in all fairness also want to have their sacred symbols on display. But let me raise a few questions.

I hear the objection all the time that it is unconstitutional. Pray tell, how is it unconstitutional? What part of the Constitution does it violate? I don't believe it violates any part of it, especially if you take it the way the Founding Fathers intended it to be read.

Next question: What would be wrong with refusing to set up religious symbols of other beliefs if they requested it? You say, "Religious discrimination!" So?? If the majority of the lawmakers that the general population elected are Christian and are in favor of Christian emblems on state or government property, why in the world should they not do it?? How can this possibly mean that they would then also have to give minority groups similar recognition? That's ridiculous! Whatever happened to majority vote? I mean, this is religious preference, not religious oppression! Perhaps it should be by the vote of the people and not the lawmakers, but I don't see much difference. The majority rules. If you don't like it, how about relocating? If you really, really don't like it, that is. The minority religions are in no way being cheated or used unfairly. The majority simply votes against granting them a special (mark this: special) recognition. It's not denying them their rights, or anything they deserve (especially if they aren't American citizens!)

Now you may ask me, "If the majority were Hindu, and wanted to do a similar exhibit, should they have the right to do so?" Yes, they should! Majority rules! You just can't rule in the way of suppressing or oppressing other religions. Our Constitution grants religious protections, and freedom from harassment or persecution. At least it used to. Christians are losing those rights every day.

Way to go, Oklahoma!

Wonder how much land is going for in OK.? OKLAHOMA MAY JUST BE THE PLACE TO LIVE!

The Persecution of Sarah Palin

Does the title need more work? Let's see... how does Webster define "persecution? "To engage in the act or practice of harassing or afflicting with repeated acts of cruelty or annoyance; to afflict persistently; specifically, to afflict or punish on account of holding particular opinions or adhering to a particular creed or mode of worship." Hmm. Perhaps the only part that doesn't fit to a "T" is the phrase "acts of cruelty." Or does it? Do we really know what all she went through? Did she really deserve any of that?

There is a new book scheduled to be released next spring. Matthew Continetti digs into the facts behind the scenes like no one else has done. Click here to learn more about the book.

One person said, in a conversation I was involved in during the election campaign, "Sarah Palin's just stupid." And I'm thinking, "Upon what basis can you say that?" I mean, you don't even know her personally. How can you say that about a person you have never met? Who told you that? Okay, so you saw her on TV. Do you realize TV is edited? Did you know that out of the hours (yes, hours) of interviewing that they did with Sarah Palin, they only showed short clips of her blunders? Do you realize (I already know you don't) how much the news shapes and forms your ideas and opinions EXACTLY the way they want you to be shaped? Did you know they WANTED you to think Palin was stupid, and Obama was smart?

Why do we need a smart president? Come on now, do you really think a smart president would make more of the right decisions? How deceived can you be? The smarter those in power are, the more things they are going to do behind your back. I have found that intelligence generally tends to be more evil. It's in the simple things that true greatness is found. I would rather have a president that could think on my level. Can you trust someone that is smarter than you? Of course not; they're going to outsmart you!

In spite of the fact that I believe women should stay out of politics, Sarah Palin is one I could have voted for as president, simply on the basis of her record and her values. It's what I like to see. It's what I believe in. (Don't make this all-encompassing; there may well be areas of disagreement). Some blame us for liking her because she is good-looking. I don't care what she looks like! I like her values! And the one and only reason I dislike having Obama as president is his agenda. Absolutely evil! Sure, he's an awesome orator. He's a charming personality. But so secular, so godless, so wrong! It's a cruel hoax! For the first time, I'm ashamed to be an American. To think that they would elect someone like THAT to the highest office...

Would Sarah Palin be a better president? I don't know. Would she also be a puppet of the powers that be? I don't know. Is it ever going to be possible to take our once great and free country back from those that would destroy us and enslave us? I don't know. But I thank God for every freedom and every free day that we have left!

Hate Crimes Bill sneaks through U.S. House

The U.S. House of Representatives passed a controversial Hate Crimes Bill late last week in a 281-146 vote, with 131 Republicans and 15 Democrats objecting to the measure.

The legislation adds sexual orientation to the list of groups under the protection of the federal law. It also gives states and local jurisdictions federal help in prosecuting hate crimes.

Todd Nettleton with Voice of the Martyrs says, "They kind of went about it in a back door way. It does go to the Senate. Apparently, it will pass the Senate, from what we understand, partially because it's attached to this Defense Spending Bill, and the President has said he will sign it."

Click here to read the full article.

It should be illegal for them to slip in a controversial bill like this and attach it to a totally unrelated bill that everybody knows they won't say no to. The Senate ought to strike it down simply for that. Of course, they could just revise the bill, and drop that attachment.

Support For Abortion Slips

A recent poll indicates Americans are more pro-life than ever. Click here to read the article from OneNewsNow.

It seems that as more women experience abortion, a large number of them suffer from emotional after-effects that follow them a lifetime. Because of the negative impact it has on those involved, many who were once pro-choice are starting to speak out against abortion. This phenomenon has been known for a long time. Here is an article which gives a ray of hope to those who have been caught in the guilt and condemnation following abortion: healing is possible. You may not be able to erase the scars, but you can find forgiveness from God, and you can forgive yourself and those who aided you in the act.
